I’m a 15-year Ann Arbor Public Schools parent (Carpenter, Scarlett, Huron). Raised by public school educators, I know how crucial our teachers and staff are to the success of all students. My coworkers will describe me as calm with a strong business sense and a good listener open to new ideas. My kids and their friends would agree that I’m a good listener, and add that I care for all of them with a fierce mama-bear love. With degrees in business, music, and psychology, I know the importance of academics, and recognize how critical it is to prioritize the arts and mental health. I’ve served on various executive boards (school PTOs, the PTOC, and other nonprofits) for the past 12 years. Volunteer and work experiences have made me very comfortable within the boardroom environment, and I’ve had lots of success working as part of a team.
